Job Title: Solution Architect
Location: San Diego, Onsite-4 days/week
Experience Required: 14+ Years


Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Systems Architect with deep expertise in AWS cloud services to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure IoT solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading end-to-end software architectures that integrate seamlessly with AWS platforms, mobile applications and a variety of upstream and downstream systems. Experience on IOT solutions architecture would be an added advantage.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive IoT architecture frameworks and roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives.
Good understanding of firmware and devices integrating with cloud software and IOT.
Design full-stack IoT solutions encompassing device connectivity, data ingestion, processing, and analytics, with a primary focus on software architecture (not hardware/PCB).
Implement security best practices for IoT systems, including encryption, authentication, and data privacy compliance.
Define and uphold standards that ensure scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability of IoT platforms.
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure cohesive and high-performing solutions.
Liaise with firmware and product teams to align architectural decisions with device capabilities and product requirements.
Optimize strategies for cloud and edge computing to balance performance with cost efficiency.
Lead technical evaluations and provide expert guidance on AWS IoT services and architecture.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging IoT technologies to maintain innovation and competitive edge.
Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) projects to explore and validate new IoT tools, platforms, and frameworks.
Work cross-functionally to design and align complex architectures that span software systems, ERP, CRM, and cloud integrations, in coordination with domain experts across mobile, AWS IoT, Firmware and software engineering.
This role needs expertise in IOT based device, firmware and software testing as well.




Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
o Proven experience as an IoT Cloud Architect or similar role in designing, deploying IoT solutions and implementing scalable IoT solutions with AWS Cloud. Strong experience in AWS IoT services, including IoT Core, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB, AWS Green Grass, AWS CDK, Serverless
o Strong knowledge of IoT protocols such as MQTT, Matter.
o Expertise in AWS cloud platforms and their IoT services.
o Hands-on experience with large scale OTA deployments.
o Strong knowledge on Cloud Security, & overall IOT end to end product security which includes web, mobile & Firmware.
o Experience with edge computing, firmware integration , real-time analytics, and AI/ML integration in IoT solutions.
o Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python,C/C++.
o Understanding of networking fundamentals, including IPv6, LPWAN, and 5G technologies.
o Hands-on experience with IoT security frameworks and compliance standards.
o Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
o Troubleshooting: Address and resolve complex technical issues related to IoT systems and AWS cloud integration with Firmware, ERP/CRM (E.g. Salesforce, Oracle apps and SAP) systems.
o Cloud Integration: Implement and integrate IoT systems with AWS cloud, ensuring scalability, security, and performance with Mobile & Web Application
o Innovation: Stay updated on the latest IoT and AWS technologies and apply them to enhance solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
o AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, IoT Specialty).
o Hand On Experience with AWS cloud platforms a plus along with Solution architecting Experience.
o Familiarity with Serverless Architecture, System Design, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
Experience:
o At least 12 years of experience in IoT solution design, with a focus on AWS cloud.
o Proven track record in deploying large-scale IoT systems.
Communication:
o Strong leadership and communication skills.
o Ability to present complex technical solutions clearly to clients and stakeholders.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, guiding them through technical challenges.
Client Engagement: Work with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored IOT solutions
