Job Description

Position: Substitute Teacher Location: Ethos Early Learning Center, South Boston, MA Employment Type: On-Call/As-Needed Certification Required: EEC Teacher Certification Are you passionate about early childhood education? Ethos Early Learning Center is looking for nurturing, reliable, and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children’s learning and growth in a collaborative and caring environment. Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Implement age-appropriate activities and routines that support children’s developmental milestones.
  • Follow lesson plans and daily schedules left by regular classroom teachers.
  • Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and families.
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
  • Adapt to various classroom environments and age groups as needed.
Requirements:
  • EEC Teacher Certification (Infant/Toddler or Preschool).
  • Experience working with children in early childhood settings.
  • Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work on short notice, as needed.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment for all children.
